I’m looking for a health supplement that will increase my metabolism?
I need to lose weight before January 1st, 2010 and I want to speed up the process a little. I already exercise and diet consistently everyday. I know that health/diet supplements can help to increase your metabolism and suppress your appetite, depending on what’s in them. Anyway, I need some suggestions. What do you all think?
The net has been buzzing about Fit Zone Advanced Complex, and the reviews are really good. I would suggest that you try out a free trial of a health supplement, and if you don’t like it, cancel it before they bill you.
Difference of the effects of herbal medicine and the effects of commercialized medicine (chemicals) On Health?
What are the difference of the effects of herbal medicine and the effects of commercialized medicine (chemicals) On People’s Health?
Herbal remedies are often less effective, but also have fewer side effects than commercialized medicines, the reason for that is that the chemicals (yes, even herbal medicines are chemicals) are less concentrated in the herbs so you get a smaller dose. Also, herbal remedies do not go through clinical trials, so there is a greater probability of unforeseen side effects, and no guarantee that it will actually be effective.
How can I use nutrition to improve my mood?
I’d like to treat what may be mild, chronic depression nutritionally. I can’t take herbals, I’m allergic to them. I believe I heard something about fish oil good for it, and also b-complex vitamins. I already take some Centrum once in a while. Would that plus eating a healthy, varied diet be enough? Would if be helpful if I go buy a bottle of fish oil and b-complex tablets?
I want to give this a shot before I go the "medical treatment" route because it’s not serious and it may be all I need.
Did some research for you, check more info on the link. Good luck!

Highlight:
Certain foods that contain high quantities of omega-3 fatty acids and/or a nutrient called uridine, such as salmon, herring, walnuts, sugar beets, and beet molasses, may have natural depression-fighting qualities, according to a research report published in Biological Psychiatry. Scientists have long known that nations consuming large quantities of fish had low levels of both heart problems and clinical depression.
What health products are best for kids?I am looking for something to boost my nephew’s immune system.?
Can anyone recommend me the best and not so expensive health products for my nephew who is around 5 and prone to asthmatic conditions. He is also always having flu.He cannot take citrusy fruits,by the way.
My grandson is five years old and I give him all natural Ocean Wonders multi-vitamin, chewable Vita-C and Optiflora. They’ve worked really well for him and they contain no artificial sweeteners, colors, flavors, or preservatives.
Hope this is helpful.
What is a good thesis statement for diet/health issues for a research paper?
Its for an opposing arguement about why diets are healthy, not healthy, how people are becoming unhealthy by not eating the right foods, and just overall health in general. I need a good thesis that is 2 sentences long…
If Anyone can help me it would be great!!!
149 million Americans are overweight! With so many weight loss resources readily available, why is the obesity epidemic exploding?
or
With hundreds of diets to choose from, why would so many American men, women, and children still be dangerously overweight?
or
The weight loss industry is booming, even in difficult economic time, so why are so many Americans still obese? Is it possible that diets are detrimental to our health?
Kids Nutrition Question – Best Bread for our kids – white, whole wheat or rye?
Hi,
My daughter is 3 yrs old. I know for adults they say whole wheat bread is better.
However, for some reason I have a feeling for kids white bread or rye has advantages too. I guess it’s easier to digest for kids or something. Do you agree?
Also, specifically any thought ton the “Wonder” brand – Enriched White Bread with 8 or 13 Essential Nutrients (Vitamins)? THANKS.
Whole wheat or rye. Kids might not like rye bread at first–it’s an acquired taste. My dad always bought rye bread, and I found that I really liked it toasted. Try it that way first. I’d stick with the natural, whole grain bread whenever possible. Wonder Bread has been processed so much that they need to add nutrients to replace everything lost in processing. Why not feed a kid (and yourself) something that still has the natural nutrients?
Does anyone know of a good UK dropshipper that I can use to sell health supplements like creatine etc?
I’m looking to sell health supplements on my own auction website and was wondering if anybody knows of a good dropshipper or reseller program that I can use for this please.
Thanks
As a UK supplements supplier, I would say that you would be better off finding a less saturated market, as you will struggle to make more than a couple of quid profit per week, although you are more likely to make a loss. Also, to obtain a trade account with a supplier, you would need to sell larger amounts, meaning you would have to buy in bulk, with the possibility that items don’t sell and go out of date.
It is also very difficult to get trade accounts with supplements manufacturers now (there are many in the UK – i.e. Reflex, CNP, etc.), as most now only set up trade accounts with people who own shops or gyms, or the best websites. Part of the applications usually ask for your company number, VAT number, projected sales, number of employed staff, etc. Saying you just want to sell on Ebay will not get you an account.
If you decide you want to set up your own company with a website selling online, then you need to be aware that even if you buy an e-commerce website template for as little as £99, you will still need to spend around £360 a year on a good hosting package, £100 a year on SSL certificates, £1500+ a year on accountancy/company returns, £1000s on website tweaks, upgrades, payment gateway set-up, etc. and then to get anywhere online in competitive industries, you would need to spend £2000/month on SEO. Not to mention that you would need to work 70 hour weeks and need help from at least 3 people, doing similar hours!!! But, you would need to work full time on a big salary to afford this… so how do you do it? One option would be to save a 25% deposit for all of the above, quit your day job, get a business loan for the rest and go for it! That would be very risky though! Also, you would have to be prepared to learn web design basics (html, css), seo, accountancy, hmrc tax/vat/PAYE requirements, company law, e-commerce regs, … the list is endless and it results in a lot stress and pressure, although if you find the right market and put the work in consistently for a couple of years, then it it can really pay off. I would say that you have missed the boat with the supplements though unfortunately.
If you are simply trying to get supplements cheaper for yourself and flog some to your mates, to make a bit of profit, then I would suggest you simply make a large order from a website like my own to receive a bigger discount. You are welcome to send me a message using the ‘contact us’ page of my website, letting me know what products you require and I will get back to you within 48 hours with a discounted price.

What can I do with a bachelor of science in natural health?
I am very interested in the natural medicine field, and the first degree I would obtain would be a bachelors of science in natural health. Are there any jobs that I could obtain with just that degree?
If you’re at the college already, you should talk to your academic advisor. If you’re not going onto grad or medical school, then you can possibly apply your skills at a government organization, as many of the ‘Departments of ….’ are science based. You could also apply your skills at a corporation, but you’d definitely want to find one you believe in.
Im starting a health/nutrition/exercise/weightloss website. What would you want to see on a site like this?
I am starting a health/diet/nutrition/weight loss/exercise/etc website, because obesity is a growing problem in America and I want to help. I am a Biology major at Boston College and understand some of the biological aspects of nutrition and gaining fat. I have some ideas of what to put on the site, but if you were going to a website like this to try and lose weight/get in shape, what would you want? What would you want information on? Weight loss plans? Nutritional label reading guide? Incentives for losing weight? More information on metabolism and fat? Consequences of eating unhealthy food? Please give me any ideas that you have, and let me know if you think this would be a successful website.
Free diet profile.Calorie listings. Being able to track your weight loss progress. Where your weigh is at as oppose to where you want it to be at. What you should weigh, not just by your height but by your build as well. Most sites are not realistic when it comes to that they assume how much people should weigh just by their height. Someone who has a large build and is 5′9 shouldn’t weigh as little as a person with a small build who is 5′9 and vis versa. It should be based on height and body build as well as muscle mass. That would be the main thing I’d like to do especially as an improvement to sites like thats.
